Transforming people into their ideal selves

Hi, my name is James Lewis, owner of Lacomus Solutions.

My goal and calling is to transform people into their ideal selves. What does this mean and how can we achieve a more productive, fulfilling, trusted, communicative and happier life, at work and at home.

Defining “ideal self” is subjective and dynamic. It will vary greatly from person to person, encompassing goals, values, aspirations, and even spiritual beliefs. It’s not about fitting into a mold, but rather supporting individuals in discovering and nurturing their unique potential.

Transformation is a journey, not a destination. It requires commitment, self-reflection, and action. We help facilitate this by providing tools, resources, and a supportive environment for people to embark on their own journeys

With experience in a variety of roles, including analyst programmer, support engineer, sales executive, team leader, project manager, director, operations manager, project lead, Scrum Master, business partner, and owner while starting my own company, I have amassed a significant amount of knowledge in the field of business. I have also worked in a small entrepreneurial startup that eventually listed on the JSE, a top 4 bank, the world’s second-largest beer producer globally, and a startup non-alcoholic wine company.

Over the years I have travelled to 16 African countries, many parts of the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Bali.

My understanding of operations, siloed operations, corporate politics and dynamics, cultural diversity, various business cultures, and work environments as a whole has significantly increased, giving me deep insights to help any individual, team, or company—large or small—achieve higher productivity, better team or divisional engagements, clearer communications, more innovation, and overall greater success.

This, over a period of years, led me to Directive Communications Psychology™ by Arthur F Carmazzi.

Why can’t our work environments or any environment for that matter be more fulfilling, engaged, supportive, collaborative, trusting, transparent and fun? As we spend 1/3rd of our lives working, 1/3rd sleeping and 1/3rd doing ‘life’ things, why can’t they be more fulfilling? Well, they can.
